AARON FINCH ON INDIA Vs AUSTRALIA ODI SERIES 2020

Aaron finch captain of an Australian cricket team has recently spoken to the media in a pre-Series interview saying that ” In India, you have to be more disciplined”. His views came today after a question from the reporter on the upcoming INDIA vs AUSTRALIA ODI SERIES 2020.

Aaron Finch said that ” need to be much disciplined with the basics, A lot of times you can get caught into things that aren’t relevant and end the end of the day you need to stick with the basics.“

Aaron Finch was also asked questions on Australian wildfire with is the worst bushfire breakout in history. Aaron Finch said that ” Cricket is not significant in front of what is happening in Australia. Obviously, everyone is affected due to the bushfire in Australia and cricket takes a backseat in such moments. AUSTRALIA IN SUPER FORM

Australia had a dream run so far after their exit from the ICC ODI World cup 2019 and since then they have won almost everything they have played across all formats. Australia had the better of teams like NZ in Test, England in Ashes and Pakistan in T20s. They had successfully whitewashed Pakistan and Sri Lanka in their last series but now Australia is in India to face the more in form Indian cricket team.

Austalia and India had an ODI series in may last season which Australia won by 3-2. and that was before the world cup earlier this year. But now the Indian team has also had a very successful run lately and certainly in a much more lethal form now.

Indian Cricket Team had a phenomenal record in the year 2019 and now they are up against the new and improved Sri Lankan Team starting off the year 2020.

Sri Lanka had a mixed season in the shorter format where they were successful against Pakistan and whitewashed Pakistan which is Number-1 T20 side in the world on ICC Rankings. However, SL was heavily defeated by Australia on a recent tour.

SRI LANKA THREAT OR A TREAT FOR INDIA?

India is a strong team but does Sri Lanka post any series threat in the coming series? The answer is yes! Sri Lanka might have been defeated on the typical Australian pitches with lush green pitches and huge long Aussie boundaries, more suited for the Aussie style of cricket. SL vs AUS was surely a disaster but when they played in Pakistan on subcontinent flat pitches they were able to topple the top side of the world with a very weak side missing all key players. SL will believe they can replicate their performance in Pakistan against Team India in the subcontinent conditions.

On the flip side, India recently played against the West Indies and though they won the series, There were quite a few nervous times in the series where West Indies had them under pressure and it was really a competitive series for India which they won 2-1 in the end. However, It goes without saying that Sri Lanka will have to produce their best in order to worry India on their home soil where they almost have an invincible record.

Angelo Mathews is called up for the INDA vs SRI LANKA series. He will play under the captaincy of Lasith Malinga who will be captaining the side in all three T20s against India.

West Indies Beats India in 2nd T20, Series leveled 1-1

Team India Destroyed West Indies in the first T20I match on 6th-Dec thanks to sparkling innings from the master with the bat Virat Kohli. However, In the second T20I, West Indies came back strongly and have comprehensively beaten the Indian team by 8 wickets.

L Simmons and N Pooran stole the show with their explosive batting chasing a relatively decent target of 170 runs. Lendl Simmons scored an unbeaten 67 whereas Pooran showed some big hits and scored an important38 off just 18 balls. WI reached the target in 18.3 overs.

W Sundar & R Jadeja took the only two wickets of E Lewis & S Hetmyer Evin Lewis scored 40 runs off 25 balls whereas Shimron Hetmyer scored a quick 23 off 14 balls faced and fell to Jadeja.

IT HAS NOW BECOME FAR TOO EXCITING.

West Indies scored a mammoth total of 207 runs in the first T20 and showed everyone that they have in-form batsmen and they can score big against a quality bowling side such as India. India’s Batting outclassed them in the first T20. However, In the second T20 India while batting first could not repeat the same bating performance thanks to some sharp bowling by K Williams and H Walsh. They took 2 Indian wickets each.

WHY INDIA WAS BEATEN IN 2nd T20I?

In contrast to the first T20 where Indian batting walked away with the whole show, West Indies batting effort was neglected in the process, they showed some really good batting to score 207 runs in the first place, and Indian Bowling conceded too many runs in death overs. Win washes away all sins and so was the case with Team India. In the second T20I India’s Openers failed and the lower order could not fire as well which restricted them to 170 runs on a relatively good pitch to bat on.

India was always 40 runs short and West Indies knew it, It was just a matter of keeping wickets in hand and perform the way they did in the first T20, and they did so with Simmons playing the key role batting out complete 20 overs and took his team over the finish line.

MS Dhoni finally speaks up about his future

Team India came under a lot of fire following the bitter World Cup exit on losing to New Zealand. They lost a match where they had to chase a slim target and made a mess of what appeared to be a walk in the park. Fans could not digest this poor defeat and blamed several players for their below-par performances.

One name that was blamed more than the others was Mahendra Singh Dhoni or MSD due to his poor performance with the bat. the displeasure went to a height where Dhoni’s role and future with the team were argued. MS Dhoni went out of the tense scene and opted not to go for the West Indies Series in the Carribean and went to join the Indian Army showing solidarity with the Indian Land forces.

Since then India has also Played South Africa in the shorter format and Also in Test now. But MS Dhoni is nowhere to be seen, Nobody knew what is the future of the greatest captain of Indian Cricket. Nobody cleared the air neither the BCCI nor Dhoni himself so fans could know when will they be able to see their favorite star in action again. Dhoni stayed out of Media and news as well and didn’t do any interactions what so ever until recently.
