Misbah ul Haq appointed as the “HEAD COACH & CHIEF SELECTOR” of Pakistan

The news of Misbah being considered for the job by PCB was in circulation for quite some time however initially Misbah ul Haq denied the speculations by the media. Later a new development came upon the issue when Misbah spoke to the media about him applying for the “Head Coach” position and stepping down from the cricketing committee.

According to the latest press release, Misbah ul Haq has been appointed the Head coach of Pakistan cricket Team in All formats. Misbah has been appointed by PCB for “Three Year term“. Misbah ul Haq was selected unanimously by the PCB committee responsible for evaluating candidates.

Misbah will also be Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket

Misbah ul Haq is not only entrusted with the top position of Head Coach but he is also given the powers of Cheif selector as well. This Means Misbah is now the most powerful man in the Pakistan cricket camp and will have full autonomy to select and coach the Pakistan cricket team. This new model of PCB is implemented after the amendment in the PCB constitution upon instructions of the Great Imran Khan who is now the top man of the country serving as the prime minister of Pakistan.

Waqar Younis selected as Bowling Coach

Upon the recommendation of Misbah ul Haq Waqar Younis has been selected as the new Bowling coach of Pakistan Cricket Team. Waqar Younis himself has been the Head Coach of the team twice. Waqar Younis is also given a term of three years as blowing coach of Pakistan Cricket Team.

Indian Bowler Shami lands into BIG CONTROVERSY

Controversies are the part of life but if we talk about celebs and famous people there are always greater chances of them landing into controversies, some are intended while others just immerge out of nothing. The same thing happened to the Indian pace star Mohammed Shami, who is surrounded by a huge controversy these days. Shami might well be Arrested due to this controversy.

Muhammad Shami’s Background

Mohammed Shami, the Indian pace star from Jonagar, Bengal, India born on September 03, 1990. He made his international debut in 2013. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He played for Kolkata Knight Riders, India A, Bengal, India, Rest of India, Board President’s XI, East Zone, Indians, Delhi Capitals, Mohun Bagan, World XI, Kings XI Punjab.

THE CONTROVERSY:

Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan has accused Mohammed Shami of multiple extramarital affairs and domestic abuse. Shami’s wife lodged an official police complaint in Kolkata following which an FIR registered against Mohammed Shami and other members of his family.

The FIR including sections 498A, which amounts to cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives. Further, Shami was charged for attempted murder, rape and adultery which was claimed by his wife. Hasin had also leveled allegations of match-fixing against the bowler.

On 2 September 2019, the Alipore Court issued an arrest warrant against Mohammed Shami in connection to his domestic violence and physical assault charge levied by his wife. He has 15 days as of the issuance of the warrant to surrender.

MOHAMMED SHAMI ON THIS CONTROVERSY:

Mohammed Shami said that all these controversies against him were based on false news and e denied all these accusations. He added that “it was all a conspiracy to defame him”, and to affect his game.

BCCI ON THIS CONTROVERSY:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) withheld Shami from their national contracts list as a result of the allegations. On 22 March 2018, the BCCI cleared Shami’s central contract after its Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) cleared him of corruption charges.

BCCI further said that they took any decision after the talk to Mohammed Shami’s lawyer who updates us about the case and further proceedings.

SRI LANKA TOUR OF PAKISTAN 2019

Cricket is the most celebrated sport in Pakistan, and it is no less than a carnival when it’s being played in the home grounds, however, it has been years since Pakistan had a real juicy International cricketing event inside Pakistan. As much as Pakistani crowd wants it, they could not get to see any cricket back home due to a catastrophic event which took away Pakistan’s most celebrated game away from it.

The Dreadful attack of 2009

On unfaithful dawn of 3rd March 2009, A dreadful incident took place that shook the cricketing world and took many by surprise. Sri Lankan team was touring Pakistan and on their way to Ghadaffi stadium Lahore, When 12 terrorist attacked the Team bus. The gunmen tried to attack the team however courtesy some timely heroics of the bus driver Team managed to survive and were taken safely to the cricket ground where they were then resued by Pakistan’s Army.

Sri Lankan and Pakistan’s cricket boards have had good ties since Sri Lankan arrival to the sport. Pakistan supported Sri Lankan cricket to blossom and nourished it playing bilateral series, organizing training and events and the list goes on. But Sri Lankan team after the attack could not play their friends and no team was willing to tour Pakistan despite numerous measures taken by the Pakistan cricket board and by the government of Pakistan. since the last two years, there has been some fresh breeze of relief where some international players and lesser teams visited Pakistan to play shorter formats.

PSL has been an Instrumental tool to improve the image of Pakistan and bridge the gap between the boards for bringing back cricket in Pakistan. The arrival of international players to Pakistan gave out a positive signal and induced some confidence into the international players as well. Initially the Final and the Semi-final were organized in Pakistan, and later the number of matches to be played in Pakistan were increased.

Pakistan intends to hold World XI matches in Pakistan as well.

Sri Lankan Cricket board has agreed to play a bilateral series with Pakistan on Pakistan’s soil. This decision came after careful consideration and inspection prior to this decision. An inspection team from Sri Lanka also visited Pakistan and the grounds to inspect security measures taken by PCB.

This would be Pakistan’s First encounter after their world cup exit from the group stage. Pakistan did beat Sri Lanka in the World cup group stage. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, is playing New Zealand and will face Pakistan in September in all formats of the game.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Test series will not be played in Pakistan and both cricket boards agreed upon playing the Test games in UAE, which has been serving Pakistan as a home ground since 2009.

Both boards agreed to start off the bilateral series in Pakistan playing shorter formats at the start and not playing Test matches right away. Cricket fans have welcomed this initiative from PCB and the Srilankan cricket board and are immensely grateful to the Sri Lankan team to leave behind the past and support Pakistan cricket when the chips are down.

Cricket fans expect some high voltage cricket in the shorter formats and a large turnout is expected in this T20I and ODI series.

Misbah ul Haq the most successful Pakistani Test captain has now announced that he is stepping down from the PCB Cricket Committee and he will immediately apply for the role of Pakistan team‘s “Head Coach“.

Misbah’s name was floating in the media previously for the position of Head Coach and there were speculations already about PCB giving him both portfolios (Head coach and Chief selector). This strategy was criticized by many and PCB also decided not to go with it. Misbah in his initial response denied that he has not applied for the role of Head Coach in a press talk.

BenStokes Super Heroics Leveled the Ashes 1-1

Ashes 3rd Test was nothing short of an epic Thriller, It all started with some splendid bowling from Jofra archer who took 6 wickets for just 45 runs in the first innings and raptured through the Aussie lineup in a quick time, Then came the big shocker, to everyone’s surprise in reply to a mere 179 total English batting crumbled to a disappointing 67 runs total only. J Hazlewood and P Cummins took 5 and 3 wickets each to dismantle England innings in just 27.5 overs.

Australia came out as favorites in the second innings and played a decent innings scoring 246 and England had to get to a mammoth total of 359. This was never going to easy and some had already given up on England considering the first innings disaster.

England’s top-order disappointed yet again in the fourth innings with R Burns and J Roy getting out on single-digit scores. Then came the skipper J Root who played rock-solid innings of 77 runs on 205 balls. It was slow, It was steady but massively effective! J Denly also played well before getting out to J Hazlewood on 50 runs.

AND THEN CAME THE HERO, BEN STOKES.

B Stokes came out confident and started off very well, It was the make or break time for the host team and Stokes responded well, Wickets kept on falling at the other end but Stokes stood firm and kept on scoring at a consistent rate. England was in the driving seat but at the end of the match everyone could sense that there was something to happen and England started losing wickets, 4 wickets fell adding just 17 runs into the total and C Woakes, J Buttler, J Archer, S Broad went to the dressing room leaving too many for Stokes to cover with an 11th man ( J Leach ) on the other end.

Match and the Ashes dream was looking to fade away for the host team when stokes brought his A-game and played on of his career-best getting the last 65 runs in a rather heroic manner. It was just a matter of one wicket for the Aussies and Stokes was able to deny that one wicket to Australian team scoring a massive 135 runs on 219 balls.

This was unexpected, This was heroic, This was unreal. Stokes conquered the 3rd test and single-handedly won it for England in the fourth innings.
His “Test” innings included 11 4’s and lusty 8 Sixes.
